Account Access Issues

Issue Problem Solution
Can't Log In / Forgot Password Unable to log in to your Notion account or forgot your password.
  1. Enter your email address on the Login page.
  2. Click on the Forgot Password? button to send a reset link.
  3. Follow the reset link which guides you to Settings and Members in Notion.
  4. Choose a new password. Without a new password, the password is removed and a temporary code must be used.
Lost Access to Email You have lost access to the email associated with your Notion account.
  1. On the login page, left click on the Resend Link button.
  2. In Notion, go to Settings and Members located in the left sidebar.
  3. Navigate to My Account → Change Email.
  4. Enter your permanent password and continue.
  5. Enter a new email and left click on the Send Verification Code button.
  6. Check your new email for the verification code.

Page Creation and Saving Issues

Issue Problem Solution
Changes Are Not Being Saved Edits to a page are not being saved.
  1. Check your internet connection.
  2. If issues persist, try logging out and then logging back in.
Database Display Issues: Entries Missing / Filters or Sorting Not Working Database entries are missing, or filters/sorts aren't functioning as expected.
  1. Double-check the filters and sorting options applied to the database.
  2. Make sure no conflicting filters are hiding entries.
  3. If issues continue, clear all filters and reapply them.

Notion Calendar Issues

Issue Problem Solution
Calendar Events Not Syncing Notion Calendar events are not synchronizing with Google Calendar.
  1. Ensure your Google account is correctly integrated. Learn more about integration.
  2. Check permissions to access your Google Calendar.
  3. If already set up, disconnect and reconnect your Google account.
Unable to Add Events Cannot add events to the Notion Calendar.
  1. Confirm you have permission to edit the calendar, especially if it is shared.
  2. Check your internet connection for issues.

Sharing Issues

Issue Problem Solution
Collaborators Cannot View Page or Database Collaborators are unable to view a shared page or database.
  1. Confirm the page or database has been shared correctly in the sharing settings.
  2. Ensure collaborators have been invited with the correct email addresses.
  3. Check if invitees have accepted the invitation.

Data Import Issues

Import Fails or Incorrect Data import from another app fails or imports incorrectly.
  1. Verify the format of the file to ensure compatibility with Notion. See supported formats.
  2. For large files, break down the import into smaller segments to avoid timeouts.

Performance Issues

Issue Problem Solution
Notion Running Slowly or Crashing Notion application is slow or crashing frequently.
  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies if using Notion via web.
  2. Update the desktop or mobile app to the latest version.
  3. Reduce the number of large databases and embedded media on a single page.
